Book Reviews

Dreams of Dying by Shaman Elizabeth Herrera

When I first saw the cover, I knew that there was something different about this book. If you enjoy spiritual books, then this one is for you.

It follows the story of a lady named Lisa and her journey and question’s when Jesus comes to visit her one afternoon. She explains her dreams and confides in Him. Then all of a sudden, her dream comes true, she has flashbacks of the conversations that her and Jesus had.

It is an amazing read, and although its less than 100 pages, it is one of those books that will change the way you read books and how you perceive things. Do be warned-it can get quite confusing, but it’s worth it.

50 Shades of Grey Trilogy by E.L James: Okay, so I know what you are all thinking..why this series? Well even though the grammar and the writing is not as exquisite as the Lord of the rings, it still has a good story line. It follows the story of Anastasia Steel who interviews the famous Christian Grey for a friend. They land up having this connection that neither of them can explain. However; there is a slight twist(a yummy one for us ladies :P) Christian Grey is into the whole BDSM thing. So whips, chains, suspension and anything else you can think of.

At the end of the first book, they Ana breaks it off with Christian, because she loves him-and he unfortunately does not feel the same (Or so we think). By the second book, they get back together with a few hiccups on the way with  Christian’s exes getting in the way and finding a happy medium between him and Ana.

By the third book, they decide to get married. I was extremely happy about this, as there love for each other is undeniable. There also seems to be a mysterious person that stalks Ana and Christian, and if you want to find out, you best read it for yourself.

There are certain parts I enjoyed and certain parts I did not. The Grammar was honestly not the best, so don’t expect high-end English or anything fancy. It’s like speaking to your best friend type of writing, which is not all that bad, but it could have done with some improvement.

Having said that, Do read it if you are wanting to read something Juicy..because..it is all kinds of juicy..

However, if you don’t want to buy the books, borrow them from your friend and who knows, you might like them and buy it yourself.

Happy reading!
